Things like culture, family background, life experiences, education, and a myriad of other factors shape the way we view the world and engage with it. Through their Trinity Education experience, we desire for each student to walk away with a view of the world (and their role in it!) that is distinctly grounded in the Bible. We endeavor to do this through worldview curriculum and ongoing Socratic dialogue that helps students apply a God-centered perspective to each subject they are studying. Most importantly, we want our students to learn how to study and interpret the Bible for themselves so that they can know how to live out God’s will in the world.
Along with developing a Christ-centered view of the world, we desire for our students to have a sense of life vision and calling. This means studying what God has told us about his purposes for humanity and discerning how our own life aligns with those purposes. This also means reflecting upon students’ formative life experiences, individual giftings, and unique passions. Throughout their Trinity Education experience, our goal is for our students to grow in their sense of personal calling and to pursue opportunities and training that can help them become servant-leaders in whatever field to which they feel called.
Trinity Education will have missed its mark if we only graduate smarter students who have not grown in attributes such as integrity, excellence, wisdom, and servant-leadership. Ultimately, we desire for our students to become individuals who will reflect the character of the Chief Servant, Jesus Christ, in all areas of life. Discipleship and mentoring that encourages students to grow in Christlikeness are crucial aspects of their character development while in Trinity Education.
Community is the context in which a Christ-centered worldview, calling, and character are daily forged and lived out.Trinity Education is more than an online learning program because we deeply believe that students need real face-to-face relationships that can spur them onto greater levels of personal growth and accountability. Trinity Education seeks to foster community through regular face-to-face Socratic dialogue sessions, mentoring, and discipleship. Moreover, we encourage students to engage with their local communities through acts of service and opportunities to learn from local experts and professionals.
